CHILD DENTISTRY (Pedodontics)

Dental care clinic focuses strongly on preventive dental care. The branch of dentistry dealing with the child is known as PAEDIATRIC DENTISTRY or PEDODONTICS. We believe in the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and gums from an early age. Milk teeth lay the foundation for speech development and masticatory habits.

Early appointment set the tone for better health.

How can you make a pediatric dental appointment?

Our staff is happy to assist you through the process of making the first appointment for your child. Simply call our office to speak with one of our helpful staff members and schedule your child’s visit. We aim to make your child’s experience as comfortable as possible. BECAUSE KIDS LOVE US AND PARENTS TRUST US.

Habit made early in life yields better dental health.

Our mission is to create the right environment to arm both parents and child with essential knowledge and skills to practice effective dental care like the correct way to brush and floss teeth. We are also here to recommend orthodontic (Braces) solution for your young ones with crooked teeth or overbites. At the age of 6, pits and fissure sealant technique is also one that reduces the rate of caries activity.

Dos and don’ts of your child’s visit with us.

DO’Ss:

  • Schedule your child’s appointment earlier in the day when they are alert and fresh.

  • Take your toddler along with when someone else in the family who enjoys dental check-up is going on.

  • Answer any question the child honestly but not too specifically.

  • Be patient if the child is frightened and non-co-operative.

  • Motivate your child by giving examples of his friends for a dental visit in a positive manner.

Don’ts

  • Don’t make the visit the high point of the day; a child might suspect something.

  • Avoid saying negative words like pull, jab or drill or phrases like “it won’t hurt much” or “it won’t be too bad” as this will create only anxiety.

  • Don’t try to explain exactly what will happen. The dentist has special words and ways to explain procedures to children

  • Refrain from threatening the child with a dental visit for any refusal to brush or any misbehaviour, this only builds up resentment and anxiety.
